The Scientific Committee for the Botany Specialization at the Colleges of Sciences in Gharyan and the College of Sciences in Al-Asabaa met on Monday morning at the College of Sciences at Gharyan University, headed by Mr.

This is to follow up on the preparation and coordination steps for the joint doctoral program in the Western Region.

The general framework of the doctoral program and the role of the faculty members of the Faculties of Science at Gharyan University for the success of this program were discussed in the Department of Botany in the Faculties of Science in the Western Region.

The meeting was opened by Dr. Shuhoub Al-Ahmar with a speech in which he welcomed the program coordinator, Dr. A. Dr.. Abdel Nabi Abu Ghaniyeh and all those present, explaining the reasons for the localization of postgraduate studies at home and stressing that the doctoral program at home has become a strategic choice at this stage. Dr. Abdul Nabi Abu Ghaniya reviewed the legal framework for the joint doctoral program within the framework of the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (39) of 2024 AD approving the organizational regulations for the doctoral program in the colleges of science.

The attendees stressed the continuation of intensive work in all departments of botany to prepare scientific programs to the fullest extent in a way that serves society and contributes to the development of scientific research. The official announcement of the accreditation of scientific programs and the beginning of studies will be made once the committees complete their tasks and provide the basic requirements for the program.
