Discussion Session on the Characteristics of Academic Writing at the Faculty of Science – Gharyan

As part of its commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing academic writing skills, the Faculty of Science – Gharyan held a discussion session entitled “The Characteristics of Academic Writing” on Monday, 2 November 2026. The session was delivered by Mr. Abdulnasser Al-Bashir Al-Saghir.

The session was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the Head of the Research and Consultation Department, the Head of the Chemistry Department, and several faculty members from different faculties. The event took place in an academic atmosphere characterized by active engagement and the exchange of expertise.

The session addressed the key characteristics of academic writing, emphasizing the importance of accuracy, objectivity, and clarity of expression in improving the quality of scholarly output and academic research. It also featured an interactive discussion between the speaker and attendees, during which various views and questions were raised, enriching the topics covered and providing an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience.

At the conclusion of the session, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the speaker in recognition of his academic efforts and valuable contribution to the success of the event.

The event was organized by the Research and Consultation Department as part of its ongoing efforts to support researchers and faculty members and promote a culture of scientific research and academic development.
