From this history, the college realized the extent of the scientific and cognitive challenges it faces at the local, regional and international levels.Therefore, the administration and faculty members melted into one crucible to exert their utmost effort, sincere dedication, and hard work in the spirit of one team in order to achieve the hope of achieving the high level of education and research appropriate for the college, to be comparable to its counterpart in the most prestigious universities in developed countries. The college also aspires to fruitful cooperation with community institutions. And its various bodies for the benefit of the citizen and the elevation and progress of the nation.At the present time, it is a vibrant, active community with diverse knowledge and cultures. It is also considered a leading center for scientific generations to disseminate and apply knowledge in the field of natural and technological sciences, as it includes an elite group of specialized professors, experts, and prominent researchers who seek scientific excellence and contribute greatly to supporting the scientific march towards... Continuous development and lasting success, as the college develops its curricula and study programs from time to time in accordance with natural, biological, field and environmental studies and scientific research. The College of Science represents a scientific community in statistical sciences.Mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, etc. This development resulted in a graduate program in the Department of Botany, and work is underway to develop study plans to open a graduate program in other departments.The college works to provide scientific consultations to all state institutions when requested to do so. The College of Science also hosts many scientific conferences and workshops in an effort to encourage scientific research in line with sustainable development projects. In addition to the above, the college provides teaching services to all other colleges at Gharyan University. On one of the hills of the treacherous western mountain, specifically at the southeastern entrance to the city of Gharyan, you find the College of Sciences, towering with the magnificence of this mountain, whose solid rocks were shattered by the pride of its children and the arrogance of the naked invaders. It emulates memories of battles of honor and jihad and radiates the light of science and knowledge to dispel the darkness of ignorance and backwardness.
The College of Science in Gharyan was established in the academic year 1992-1993 and adopted the annual system of study. Since its inception, the scientific programs, educational curricula and academic structure of the college have undergone several changes in the field of science, the requirements of scientific research and the aspirations of society. Thus, new study programs were introduced and the course curricula were expanded, which It was necessary to restructure the academic structure until it consisted of nine scientific departments:Chemistry, physics, mathematics, zoology, botany, geology, computers, environment and natural resources, statistics. In addition to the General Subjects Department, the bachelor’s degree program for each department includes basic and supporting theoretical courses and university requirements, and some courses are supported by laboratories according to the department’s plan. This change was accompanied by the introduction of new patterns in the study system, from the year system to the semester system. This development was accompanied by changing the internal regulations and amending them in accordance with the regulations in force over the past periods.
