Within the framework of the College of Science’s interest in quality and its applications, and in conjunction with the World Quality Day, which is celebrated annually in November, the College of Science in Gharyan organized, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in cooperation with the University’s Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Office, a forum that included all college members to celebrate World Quality Day with the aim of educating and enhancing their awareness of the importance of quality. This event coincided with the college’s announcement that it would begin the self-evaluation process for the second time since submitting the college’s file to the Center for Quality Assurance of Educational and Training Institutions to obtain institutional accreditation. The forum opened with a speech by Ms. Sanaa Ramadan Al-Jali, Head of the Quality Department at the College. This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Tariq Faraj Al-Dubai, through a workshop that was implemented on the sidelines of the forum on identifying strengths and weaknesses in performance; to meet the requirements for reaching quality and accreditation standards. This is to achieve a number of objectives as follows:

Recognizing the importance of applying quality systems to achieve the college’s vision

Recognizing the mechanisms and procedures for implementing the self-evaluation process and the self-study report

Identifying new opportunities for future development that could lead to redefining the best strategic position for the college.

• Determine the priorities that should be focused on in improvement or treatment processes.
• Finally, leave the floor to the audience to discuss inquiries related to the lecture topics
