(Basics of operating laboratory equipment and safety procedures in laboratories)

The activities of the first day of the workshop began yesterday, Monday, November 27, in the theater of the College of Science, Gharyan.

During which, the Director of the University’s Laboratories Department, Professor Tariq Qanidi, opened with a speech explaining the objectives and elements of the workshop.

This was followed by a speech by Dr. Shuhoub Al-Ahmar, Dean of the College of Science - Gharyan, in which he welcomed the attendees

He thanked them for their attendance at the specified time, and also thanked the members of the organizing committee for this workshop and the faculty members participating in the training on laboratory equipment.

The workshop activities began with visual presentations entitled... (Basics of Biosafety in Animal and Plant Laboratories) presented by Dr. Hala Al-Mashout, Head of the Laboratory Committee at the College.

As well as another visual presentation entitled..

(Safety guidelines in Physics Department laboratories) presented by Professor Magdy Al-Jaer, Head of the Physics Department.

The presentations concluded with an informative presentation presented by Mr. Tariq Qunaidi, in which he explained the most important chemical safety guidelines.

The trainees then headed to the laboratories of the Gharyan College of Science to receive training on the devices targeted by the workshop.
