"Kick-off of the Practical Workshop on Measuring pH and EC in Soil and Aqueous Solutions"

As part of Gharyan University’s support for applied scientific activities, the training workshop titled “Practical Workshop: Measuring pH and EC of Soil and Aqueous Solutions” was launched today, Wednesday, 23/07/2025.

The workshop was organized by the Department of Environmental Science and Natural Resources – Faculty of Science, Gharyan, under the supervision of several faculty members.

It targeted students of the department and individuals interested in environmental and agricultural fields, providing hands-on training on:

▪️ The importance of measuring pH and electrical conductivity (EC) in assessing soil and water quality

▪️ Introduction to the measurement instruments and their calibration

▪️ Steps for conducting field and laboratory measurements

▪️ Interpretation of environmental values and their agricultural implications

The workshop aims to enhance participants’ skills in using environmental analysis tools and applying theoretical concepts in practice, thereby improving graduate competencies and aligning them with labor market requirements.
