As part of the academic collaboration between the Faculty of Science – Gharyan and its counterpart faculties, and in an effort to increase interest in modern sciences and technologies, a scientific lecture on Nanoscience was delivered at the Faculty of Science – Misrata on the morning of Thursday, 6 November 2025, in the meeting hall of the Bio Research and Consultancy Office at the Faculty.

The lecture was organized by the Departments of Chemistry and Research & Consultancy at the Faculty of Science – Misrata, in collaboration with the Bio Research and Consultancy Office in Misrata, and was presented by Mr. Abdelnasser Al-Bashir Al-Saghir Omar, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science – Gharyan and a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Misrata.

The lecture targeted all those interested in nanoscience, including graduate and undergraduate students, and covered various topics from the basic concept of nanoscience to the applications and potential risks of nanomaterials. The session was attended by PhD and Master’s students from the Department of Chemistry, as well as several faculty members and teaching assistants from the Departments of Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
