Presentation Preparation and Public Speaking Skills
Activities of the Department of Computer Science – Faculty of Science, Gharyan
As part of its commitment to community service and the development of academic skills, the Department of Computer Science launched today, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, the first lecture of the intensive training course entitled “Presentation Preparation and Public Speaking Skills.” The course targets students working on their graduation projects across the academic departments of the Faculty of Science – Gharyan and is organized and supervised by the Community and Environmental Service Team of the Department of Computer Science.
The lecture began at 10:00 a.m. and continued until 2:00 p.m. in Computer Science Laboratory No. 3.
The session opened with a welcoming address delivered by the Dean of the Faculty, who welcomed the attendees and praised such valuable initiatives for their contribution to developing students’ capabilities and refining their skills. He emphasized the importance of presentation and public speaking skills as essential components of academic and professional success, while encouraging students to take advantage of such training opportunities and continue developing their academic and personal abilities.
The lecture aimed to enhance participants’ skills in preparing professional presentations, organizing content effectively, developing confident public speaking techniques, and communicating effectively with an audience. These skills contribute to improving the quality of graduation project presentations and defenses and strengthening students’ academic competencies.
The lecture witnessed strong attendance and active engagement from the students, who demonstrated considerable interest in the topics presented and emphasized the importance of these skills in their academic and professional journeys.
