Participation of the Department of Chemistry in a Scientific Seminar Organized by the Libyan Chemical Society

As part of the Department of Chemistry’s commitment to strengthening its scientific and community role, we are pleased to recognize the distinguished participation of our faculty member, Mr. Tarek Quneidi, in the scientific seminar organized by the Libyan Chemical Society in collaboration with the Faculty of Science – Al Ajaylat, University of Zawia, under the theme:

“The State of the Environment in the Western Coastal Region”

Mr. Tarek Quneidi participated by presenting a valuable scientific paper entitled:

“Chemical Risk Assessment Strategies and Their Role in Environmental Protection along the Libyan Western Coast.”

The paper highlighted the role of chemists in environmental protection and sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of scientific approaches to assessing and managing chemical risks and their impact on the environment.

The Department also commends this active contribution, which reflects the integration of Mr. Quneidi’s role as a faculty member with his distinguished professional and community role as the Acting Head of the Libyan Chemical Society – Western Mountain Branch. This exemplifies the integration of academic expertise with professional and community engagement.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Gharyan takes pride in such initiatives, which strengthen communication and collaboration between academic institutions and the wider community and reaffirm the Department’s role as a scientific reference in addressing national environmental issues.
