Scientific Lecture – Department of Environmental Science and Natural Resources, Faculty of Science, Spring 2025

As part of the scientific activities of the Department of Environmental Science and Natural Resources for Spring 2025, a scientific lecture was organized today in the main lecture hall of the Faculty of Science, entitled:

“Preparation of Quartz Sand Samples for Microscopic Grain Analysis”

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif, a faculty member in the Department of Environmental Science and Natural Resources.

The lecture was attended by several faculty members, students from the Department of Environmental Science and Natural Resources, alumni from previous years, students from other departments, and a number of students from the Libyan Academy – Gharyan Branch.

This event aims to enhance the practical skills of students and provide them with the necessary knowledge in laboratory preparation of geological samples, contributing to the support of educational and research processes within the faculty.

These lectures are part of a series of scientific activities through which the faculty seeks to instill a culture of research and learning, improve students’ competencies, and prepare them for both academic and professional career paths.
