In a joyful and welcoming atmosphere, the Faculty of Science in Gharyan held an Eid al-Fitr celebration today, bringing together faculty members, teaching assistants, technicians, and administrative staff in a distinguished gathering that reflected a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among all members of the faculty.

The event commenced with a series of speeches. The Dean of the Faculty delivered an address in which he extended his heartfelt congratulations to the attendees on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, expressing his wishes for continued prosperity, blessings, and well-being for all. He emphasized the importance of such gatherings in strengthening institutional belonging and reinforcing cooperation among faculty members, noting that the achievements realized by the faculty are the result of collective effort and integration across its departments.

The Dean also commended the efforts of faculty members and staff, acknowledging their ongoing dedication to advancing both the academic and administrative processes. He reaffirmed the faculty administration’s commitment to providing a supportive and stimulating academic environment and called for continued teamwork and greater efforts to achieve excellence and further enhance the faculty’s standing in service of students and the wider community.

The Faculty Syndicate representative also delivered a speech highlighting the role of such gatherings in strengthening professional relationships. The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs likewise stressed the importance of these occasions in fostering a sense of unity, emphasizing that the Faculty of Science is not merely a place of work and study, but a shared community grounded in cooperation and mutual respect.

She also took the opportunity to acknowledge colleagues facing health challenges, extending her sincere wishes for their swift recovery and hoping to see them return to the faculty in good health soon.

The event included a moment of recognition, during which Professor Ibrahim Al-Maioufi was honored on the occasion of his retirement, in appreciation of his many years of dedicated service and his valuable contributions to the faculty and its students. He was wished continued health and success in his future endeavors.

A certificate of appreciation was also presented to the Water and Wastewater Company in recognition of its efforts and services in supporting the faculty’s infrastructure and work environment.

The event also featured an environmental initiative, as a small tree-planting campaign was launched across the faculty grounds to promote environmental awareness and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the campus.
