The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science - Gharyan University held a ceremony on Monday morning, February 3, 2025, to announce the release of new academic guides authored by faculty members of the department.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of academic figures at Gharyan University, headed by the President of Gharyan University, Dr. Saleh Qashout, the Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University, Dr. Ali Al-Faqih, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs at the College, Dr. Intisar Abdel-Ati.

The Dean of the University Faculty Members, Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Shaibani, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif, the Director of the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Training, Dr. Nasr Al-Din Suwaisi, the member of the Administrative Control, Mr. Suleiman Al-Turaiki, in addition to a group of heads of scientific departments at the college, the Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the College of Science, and the Director of the Faculty Members Office at the college.

The ceremony began with welcoming words from the organizing committee, followed by the opening speech by the Head of the Chemistry Department. The distinguished guests also delivered encouraging words in which they expressed their support for these academic projects, pointing out the importance of developing and exchanging knowledge in the academic field.

The ceremony included presentations on the published academic guides, which are:

• Guide to Writing Laboratory Reports and Graduation Projects for University and Higher Institute Students

• Guide to Chemical Safety in University Laboratories and Stores

• Guide to Academic Presentation

• Guide to Writing a Research Paper

The ceremony concluded with thanks and appreciation to the attendees and participants for their contribution and support, emphasizing the importance of continuing academic cooperation in developing Scientific content and promotion of university culture.
