As part of the Faculty’s plan to strengthen practical learning and connect academic coursework with real-world applications, the Department of Plant Science organized a scientific visit to the Agricultural Research Center – Tripoli, Sustainable Agriculture Research Branch.
The visit was attended by undergraduate and master’s students from the Department of Plant Science, along with students from the Departments of Zoology and Environmental Science and Natural Resources, as part of the Faculty’s efforts to support field-based learning and develop students’ research skills.
During the visit, participants toured a number of the Center’s laboratories and explored its scientific facilities and equipment. They were introduced to the instruments and techniques used in agricultural and environmental analyses, as well as research procedures and approaches for applying modern scientific technologies to agricultural and environmental studies.
The visit also aimed to strengthen students’ skills in observation, analysis, and scientific reasoning, while providing them with an opportunity to explore practical applications of the scientific concepts they study. This contributes to preparing qualified graduates capable of applying academic knowledge to the study of environmental and natural-resource issues and connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world practice.
The Faculty extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Khaled Ali Balaou for his outstanding efforts in organizing and coordinating this scientific visit. The Faculty also expresses its deep appreciation to everyone who contributed to supporting and ensuring the success of the trip, particularly the University Administration, the Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Faculty, and those who accompanied him in providing the necessary arrangements and requirements for the visit.
The Faculty further extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the management of the Agricultural Research Center and to all researchers and staff members for their warm welcome and fruitful cooperation, as well as for providing valuable scientific information and giving students the opportunity to explore the Center’s research and practical capabilities. Their support greatly enriched the students’ academic knowledge and practical experience.
This visit reflects the Faculty’s commitment to strengthening practical scientific activities, supporting scientific research, and developing students’ field-training skills, thereby contributing to the advancement of the educational process and strengthening the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
