As part of the “Awareness Steps to Protect You” campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer, organized by the Libyan Red Crescent – Gharyan Branch, we continue working together to promote awareness of the importance of early detection.

Today, Monday, 26 October 2026, the Faculty of Science, Gharyan welcomed a team from the Libyan Red Crescent – Gharyan Branch. The team provided valuable educational materials and important guidance on early detection and breast cancer prevention.

The visit included direct awareness sessions with female students and faculty staff, the distribution of educational leaflets, and messages of support and encouragement for those affected by the disease, as well as those seeking to protect themselves through preventive measures.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Libyan Red Crescent – Gharyan Branch for its valuable contribution to promoting health awareness. The Faculty reaffirms its commitment to supporting such important initiatives that serve the community and promote public health.
