On the occasion of National Tree Day, the Department of Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, organized an awareness-raising activity aimed at fostering a culture of caring for plants and preserving them. This initiative was based on the principle that environmental sustainability is not limited to planting trees alone, but also extends to their continuous care and ensuring their sustained growth.

The activity included the distribution of awareness posters encouraging the use of leftover drinking water to irrigate plants instead of wasting it, thereby promoting the concept of water conservation and the reuse of available resources through simple and effective practices.

This activity reflects the role of scientific departments in promoting environmental awareness and linking academic knowledge with daily practices, contributing to the development of responsible behaviors that support the protection of natural resources and the achievement of sustainable development within and beyond the university campus.
