New Students’ Orientation Day | Faculty of Science – Gharyan

In a distinguished academic atmosphere, the New Students’ Orientation Day was held at the Faculty of Science – Gharyan, with the attendance of the Faculty Administration, a number of administrative staff members, Heads of Academic Departments, Office Directors, and newly enrolled students.

The event introduced students to the Faculty and its academic environment, while providing an overview of the applicable regulations and policies, as well as matters related to university life and students’ academic progression. This was aimed at helping students better understand their rights and responsibilities and facilitating their integration into university life.

The meeting also included an introduction to the Students’ Union of the Faculty of Science, highlighting its role in representing students and contributing to various activities. Students were also introduced to the range of scientific, cultural, sports, and other competitions and activities organized by the Faculty, which contribute to developing their skills, nurturing their talents, and enhancing their engagement in university life.

As part of the continuation of the orientation program, a dedicated orientation day will be organized for each academic department over the coming weeks. These sessions will provide students with a more detailed introduction to the departments and opportunities for direct interaction with their faculty members. In addition, orientation tours will be organized to familiarize students with the Faculty’s facilities, resources, and infrastructure, including laboratories, offices, classrooms, lecture halls, the mosque, and other facilities and services. This will enable students to become familiar with the Faculty environment and make the best use of its available resources.

This initiative reflects the Faculty of Science – Gharyan’s commitment to preparing newly enrolled students for the beginning of their university journey, strengthening communication between students and the Faculty Administration, academic departments, and various offices, and creating a supportive and motivating academic environment from the very beginning of their studies.
