Workshop: “Physics in Our Lives”

As part of the Department of Physics’ efforts to introduce the science of physics and highlight its significant role in our daily lives, a workshop entitled “Physics in Our Lives” was held yesterday, Monday, June 8, 2026.

The workshop consisted of two main parts:

🔹 Part One: Scientific Lecture

A lecture prepared and delivered by Mr. Majdi Al-Jayer and Ms. Ahlam Buaij, which aimed to introduce the science of physics and highlight its importance in both practical and academic life.

The speakers also introduced the Department of Physics, including the theoretical and practical courses offered to its students. In addition, the lecture provided valuable information on laboratory hazards and health and safety procedures to be followed inside laboratories.

🔹 Part Two: Student Presentation

A presentation entitled “Quantum Entanglement and Teleportation” was delivered by student Sharaf Al-Din Abdulsalam Ali.

The presentation aimed to demonstrate the real-world relevance of quantum mechanics and explore how quantum phenomena can be connected to our understanding of everyday life.

The presentation received positive feedback from the attendees, who praised its scientific content and value in highlighting a different and fascinating perspective on quantum mechanics.
