On Sunday, 16 November, the Faculty of Science – Gharyan organized a celebration in honor of World Quality Day, attended by the University President, the Director of the Quality and Performance Evaluation Office, the Director of the International Cooperation Office, the Director of the University Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, the Dean of the Faculty, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, department heads, office directors, staff, faculty members, and students.

The celebration was opened by Dr. Omar Abudina, Dean of the Faculty, who delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of promoting a culture of quality within the Faculty and its role in enhancing academic standards.

The University President also addressed the gathering, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the Faculty of Science for its continuous efforts in applying quality standards and advancing toward programmatic accreditation.

During the event, Ms. Sanaa Al-Jali, Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department at the Faculty, delivered a lecture titled:

“Implementing Total Quality in Higher Education Institutions”

She discussed key concepts of quality and the development requirements for academic institutions.

Additionally, Dr. Tarek Al-Dabie, Director of the University Quality and Performance Evaluation Office, highlighted the importance of sustainable quality implementation and ways to achieve it, emphasizing its role in enhancing institutional performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the University.

The event also included a discussion session on the programmatic accreditation file of the Faculty of Science – Gharyan, aimed at exchanging ideas and strengthening understanding of accreditation requirements and program development.
