?Is Ultra-Wideband UWB reconfigurable to Bluetooth

In this paper, deploying an integrator, we propose a method to transform ultra wideband (UWB) signal into a frequency hopping type of transmission signal that is applied in Bluetooth technology. In addition to the tremendous increase in data transfer speed, the frequency domain equalization is further extended to Bluetooth technology, as a result. This paper further shows that both technologies can be deduced from each other although UWB is a carrierless while Bluetooth requires a transmission carrier.

Frequency Domain UWB Receiver instead of Low Complexity Rake Receiver

The extremely high speed offered by UWB systems allows the guard band to be extended to 100% instead of maximum of 25% as in broadband systems. This particular guard ensures this channel is completely free of spurious signals before transmitting next symbol. In this paper, the performance of non block transmission frequency domain UWB receiver with changeable zero-padding is presented. The receiver can be an alternate to Rake receivers, since clustering effect, common in UWB signals makes Rake receivers impractical and imposes low complexity rake receivers that are not optimum, either.

OFDM lags SC/FDE for Ultra Wideband (UWB) in Context of IoT
Conference paper

Single carrier with frequency domain equalization (SC/FDE) substantially out performs OFDM in BER performance for Ultra Wideband (UWB), a result already reported. In this paper we provide an explanation and justify this superiority. We showed besides, by only a proper selection of both cyclic prefix duration and the period of fast Fourier transform an extra gain is obtainable. This performance enhancement is in favor of SC/FDE's superiority for UWB in the context of internet of things.
